- Top of the list - the Cathedral of Saint Agata. This is literally the next door down from the hostel!
- Villa Bellini - in fact a park. 10 minutes walk north from the hostel. You can see the front of the park from the balconies in the hostel.
- Piazza Università - the hostel is on the square...
- Castello Ursino - ten minute gentle walk to voyage back 800 years to this beautiful and historically valuable fort.
- The Benedictine Monastery - ten minute walk to what is now the seat of Catania's University.
- Greek Theatre - a short walk of less than ten minutes brings you to this beautifully preserved theatre and odeon.
- Elephant fountain - a whole forty seconds might be required to reach the famous elephant statue.
- The Bellini Theatre - is east of us, about a five minute walk. The piazza in front is stunning, with its fountain and the beautiful avenue approaching it.
- Basilica of the Collegiata - just the other side of Piazza Università. A 2 minute walk.
- Orto Botanico - This is very far away - realtive to the top nine! About ten minutes after Villa Bellini, continuing along Via Etnea, you will find the beautiful, and Free-to-Enter, Botanical Gardens.

- San Giovani Li Cuti. A picturesque seaside village, perfect for watching the sea, while enjoying a granita in brioche. A short bus ride from us.
- Palazzo Degli Elefanti - the Town Hall- is facing our building.
- Museum of the 1943 Allied invasion of Sicily is about ten minutes by public transport, or about 30 minutes on foot.
- Home and museum of Giovanni Verga, author. Home and museum of Vincenzo Bellini, composer. These two museums are close to each other, both about a ten minute walk from the hostel.
- Terme Achilliane - the archeological museum under Piazza Duomo. Again, about a minute of hard walking will bring you to this underground marvel. The same distance to the Diocesan museum in Piazza Duomo.
- San Nicolò L'Arena, the monastery, and church here are both beautiful and historically important. Oh, and ten minutes away on foot.
- The Museum of Contemporary Art in Sicily is five minutes away, in the stunning Via Crociferi.
